Trade Show Scam Emails

Dear members,

It has come to our attention that many of you have been receiving emails from scammers posing as AASC staff or contractors offering "attendee" lists for the 2022 AASC Trade Show. This is not the first time they have targeted us and other organizations, but their attempts appear to be increasing in scope. Many even use the AASC or trade show logo to make their fraudulent claims appear legitimate.

We want to ensure the safety and security of our valued members by addressing these concerning issues. Please read carefully and take note of the following:

1. We Do Not Sell Attendee or Exhibitor Lists AASC does not sell or share attendee or exhibitor lists with any third parties. If you receive an email claiming to provide these lists, it is a scam. These individuals are NOT part of our organization and do not have any legitimate lists to offer. We strongly advise you to block such senders and avoid engaging with them. Rest assured, your information remains confidential and secure with us.

2. How to Identify Legitimate Communication from AASC Official emails from AASC will always come from someone with the AASCHQ.org domain or mg.map-dynamics.com domain. If you are uncertain about the legitimacy of any correspondence, please do not hesitate to verify it with us.

3. Reporting Suspicious Activity If you encounter fraudulent emails or calls, please forward them to us. We will take appropriate action by adding these incidents to our internal and public list of scams to protect others in our community.

4. Examples of Scam Emails and Blocklist Below are examples of the fraudulent emails and a list of known scammers to block. Please let us know if you receive similar emails so we can add them to our list and take further action.
