UCCS, in collaboration with Weidner Apartment Homes and Norwood Development, is launching a four-year degree program in Property Management and Real Estate at the UCCS Downtown campus starting in 2025. The program will be funded with $2 million each from Weidner and Norwood Development, and UCCS will contribute $2.1 million for operations and scholarships.

The new curriculum will include real estate asset management, hands-on learning, internships, and industry events. Both Weidner and Norwood will join the Program Advisory Board to help shape the curriculum. The initiative will also involve renovating and expanding the UCCS Downtown campus, doubling its size.

Norwood CEO Chris Jenkins emphasized the program’s potential to keep skilled professionals in Colorado Springs, benefiting the local real estate market. Weidner’s involvement builds on its history of supporting similar programs across various states.

The partnership is part of broader efforts under the Peak City Initiative, aimed at enhancing education and upward mobility in the Pikes Peak Region.
